In a week I turn 30. In 6 months I get married. At some point over the next century, I’ll die.
What these numbers add up to is that it’s time to do me … NOW.
My brain is overrun by ideas, ideas, ideas. And for a really long time, I’ve squirreled these ideas away IN MY HEAD when what I really want is to make them REAL!!!!
So I declare into the universe that from this moment forward I’m turning myself inside out. Rather than just leave them at ideas, I’m gonna make shit happen. And not just the easy ideas. I’m going for the most interesting, ambitious, hilarious, unorthodox ones.
Like:
- Create a young person’s leadership workshop with Lebron James.
- Build an online marketing firm serving 2oo+ customers.
- Get 10,000 New Yap City Facebook fans.
- Star in a commercial that runs on network television.
- Be interviewed by John Stewart on the Daily Show.
- Raise $1 million for a remarkable organization.
- Have an op-ed published in the New York Times.
- Get a video on Youtube that has 1 million views
And I’m yapping it all out there so that you can hold me to account. Scrutinize me, tell me what to do, support me, collaborate with me, yap your ideas back at me, but whatever you do don’t let me hide out – bring the best out in me!
I hereby declare that I am going to:
- Let my imagination and creativity run wild.
- Share my ideas with you.
- Take on only the ideas that are most outrageously challenging and that I’m most passionate about.
- Measure success by having done my best.
